At Senior Care Centers, we take great pride in our nutritional services and want our residents to dine with elegance, dignity and independence, along with a wide variety of menu options.
We are unique in that we do not have menus that cycle routinely. Rather, we offer a different menu every month incorporating seasonal items such as fresh fruits and vegetables in summer months, and soups and stews in winter months. In addition to the standard two choices at mealtime, in most facilities we have “always available” menus and grill menus. We also pay special attention to holiday meals and special occasions. We offer room for menu creativity to reflect cultural and regional preferences, monthly Resident chosen specials, and a monthly Chef designed meal.
Our Strive 2 Thrive wellness program, unique in our industry, is just one more way we’re committed to providing the best of care for our residents. This is part of our proprietary wellness program that incorporates healthy food options with exercise.
Our Fine Dining program includes restaurant-style dining with servers offering appetizers (soup or salad) and beverage service table-side prior to entrées being served. Fine china, linen tablecloths and napkins, background music, and plates displaying menu offerings are part of our service. Entrée plates are removed when the resident is finished with the main course, and a dessert cart is presented for the final course. This Fine Dining program is currently in select facilities.
We continue to offer a wide variety of options with our meal service that may include salad bars, soup bars, cereal bars, coffee bars, omelet stations, waffle stations and snack stations. Select facilities have also incorporated extended dining hours, continental breakfasts and room service to implement the culture change approach for a more home like environment.
